Is Baptism required for salvation? Was it ever required for salvation? Did Jews have to be baptized in order to be saved? Was there a dispensation where certain believers had to believe and be baptized in order to be saved? Did Baptism wash away the sins of Saul of Tarsus/Paul according to Acts 9:18 and Acts 22:16? Does Mark 16:16 teach that only those who have been baptized will truly be saved? Have I gotten your attention yet? These are important questions. You need to be able to answer them. Can you defend the true gospel of salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone according to scripture alone for the glory of God alone? Is your understanding of the gospel so convoluted that you think that different people were saved in different ways across different dispensations? Do you have friends or loved ones who believe something like this? Are you or your loved ones being taught baptismal regeneration by groups like the Church of Christ or Christian Churches that are part of the Disciples of Christ, or UPCI Oneness Pentecostals? If so, you are in the right place.
